Dr. Lakra – Dallas Debut

Our solo booth at the 17th edition of the Dallas Art Fair offered a glimpse into Dr. Lakra’s first solo exhibition at Colector Dallas. The presentation featured a selection of monotypes created at Taller Sangfer in Oaxaca, alongside two sculptural totems that extended the artist’s exploration of transformation, mythology, and ritual. Through haunting and hypnotic forms, the works channeled Lakra’s ongoing dialogue with Japanese visual culture and his commitment to gesture as a carrier of ancestral memory.

The booth acted as a portal into the main exhibition on view at our new space in Dallas, inviting visitors into the expanded universe of the project.

Held at the Fashion Industry Gallery (f.i.g.) in the heart of the Dallas Arts District, the fair gathered 91 leading exhibitors from across the globe, further solidifying Dallas’ growing presence on the international art stage. We were honored to take part in this moment, connecting broader audiences to Lakra’s evolving practice and Colector’s mission.
